This was the last Sandhopper tape, recorded in 1995. Even though it was planned as a way of clearing the decks of the last few songs we hadn't recorded, while pointing forward with new material, I think we all knew it was coming to an end.

We recorded the backing tracks in one day, at the student house I was living in in Northfield, only stopping when a neighbour came and asked us to. We learned several of the songs just before recording them, though I don't think you can tell. We'd stopped rehearsing all together by then, though we played a lot of gigs in the last year of the band.

It was all recorded on my trusty Tascam 424.

I'm not as fond of this as I am its predecessor. I think part of the problem was never playing many of the songs live, stopping any emotional attachment emerging.
