Maps of Jupiter existed for a few short months at the end of 1997 and the beginning of 1998. During that time we released a 7" EP on Earworm Records, got played on John Peel's Radio One show, recorded a load of other songs, and played a short UK tour taking in Sheffield, Brighton, Derby, Coventry, and Birmingham.

Soon after the single came I broke the band up because Richard and I didn't get on very well. It was just one of those things, no-one was really to blame.

This release is almost everything we recorded, remastered from the original tapes. The only song that's missing is 'Angled & Poised' from the Earworm 7". The cover art is that of the 7", updated to reflect the content

There are a couple of tracks on here that are straight-up Eric's Trip rips, shamelessly so in the case of 'Maybe It All Came True' and 'Here She Comes', but the rest have a fuzzy lo-fi charm that was all ours. We were quite a good band, I think.
